When visiting Dong Chau Beach tourist area, tourists can enjoy the fresh air of the sea and the windy beach. The tourist area includes the coastal area of Dong Minh commune, Cua Lan, and two sea islands, Con Thu and Con Vanh. The total area of the tourist area is tens of square kilometers, with the central part being the 5km-long Dong Chau Beach. Here, a system of high-rise hotels and guesthouses has been established to serve tourists who come to Dong Chau for beach bathing and relaxation. Interestingly, from Dong Chau Beach, visitors can take boats to visit and swim at Con Thu and Con Vanh islands. Located 7km from the mainland, Con Thu and Con Vanh rise like two green waves in the open sea.

Con Thu has fine white sandy beaches, pine forests, dense green bamboo forests, and charming small beaches, making it an ideal destination for beach bathing, organizing picnics, and boat-based vacations with fun activities such as fishing, surfing, beach volleyball, and more.
Con Vanh covers an area of 15km2, with a preserved mangrove forest as a habitat for rare bird species such as spoonbills, storks, and seabirds. Each year, this place attracts many tourists, including researchers and travelers, to visit the islands.
Visitors to Dong Chau Beach will enjoy the fresh air of the sea and the windy beach, as well as have the opportunity to visit the Bà Đền (Lady Temple) dedicated to the wife of a Tống dynasty king in China who assisted the Trần dynasty in fighting against the Mongol invasion. This site also served as the operational base of the North Vietnam Party Committee before the August Revolution.

Dong Chau Beach is 30km away from Thai Binh city if taking the national highway 39B. Dong Chau has a 5km-long beach with many natural features. Interestingly, from Dong Chau Beach, visitors can take boats to visit and swim at Con Thu and Con Vanh islands, which are 7km away from the mainland. Con Thu and Con Vanh rise like two green waves on a sandy island of about 5 hectares. The island features pine forests, bamboo forests, tranquil and picturesque small beaches. While Dong Chau Beach may not be exceptionally beautiful, the climate is refreshing, making it suitable for rest, recovery, and especially, the seafood here is delicious and affordable.

+ Hanoi - Thai Binh (140 km): Follow the Phap Van - Cau Gie Expressway for about 32 km, then turn onto the Cau Gie - Ninh Binh Expressway --> Dai Xuyen interchange --> Liem Tuyen interchange --> Turn left onto Ha Huy Tap/QL 21B/Thien Truong Nam Dinh Avenue --> Continue through the Mỹ Lộc BOT toll booth --> Continue on Thien Truong Avenue --> Cross Nam Dinh Bridge --> QL10/QL38B --> Tan De Bridge --> Follow QL10 to Hung Vuong Street. Continue on Quang Trung - Ngo Thi Nham - Tran Lam - Le Quy Don. After about 500m, turn left, continue for 800m, then turn right onto Hoang Van Thai/QL39B/TL458. After about 17 km, turn right onto QL39B/TL458, continue for about 2.1 km to the roundabout, follow the path onto 14-10/QL39B. Continue for about 8.5 km through the Tien Hai Industrial Park, turn left onto Dong Hoang Street. After about 800m, turn right, continue for 700m, then turn left, and finally turn right to Dong Chau Beach (Dong Hoang commune, Tien Hai district, Thai Binh province).
+ Hai Duong - Thai Binh (95 km): Follow Le Thanh Nghi Street - Truong Chinh - Ngo Quyen --> Follow TL 39B --> QL 38B --> TL 396B --> Cross Di Linh Bridge --> Follow TL 396B to Hiep Bridge --> Follow TL 396B and TL 217 --> QL 10 --> Cross Nguyen Bridge --> Follow QL 10 --> Straight on QL10 (Dong Hung Town) --> Long Hung - Vo Nguyen Giap Street --> Turn left, go straight, then turn left onto Nguyen Duc Canh Street --> Turn right onto QL 39B --> Cross Bo Bridge (Tra Ly River), then turn left onto QL39B/TL458 --> After about 19 km, turn right onto QL39B/TL458. Continue for about 2 km, pass the Tien Hai bus station, and at the roundabout, follow the path onto 14-10/QL39B. Continue for about 8.5 km through the Tien Hai Industrial Park, turn left onto Dong Hoang Street. After about 800m, turn right, continue for 700m, then turn left, and finally turn right to Dong Chau Beach (Dong Hoang commune, Tien Hai district, Thai Binh province).
+ Hai Phong - Thai Binh (110 km): Head towards Lach Tray Street - Pham Van Dong/TL353 --> Cross Rao Bridge (Lach Tray River) --> Continue on Pham Van Dong/TL353 --> Pass through Dương Kinh toll booth --> QL 5B/ĐCT04 --> Follow QL 10 --> Continue on QL10 to The Gioi di Dong Vinh Bao --> Follow QL37 --> After about 230m, turn right onto QL10 --> Continue on QL10 for about 10km, then turn left onto TL216/TL455. Continue for about 10.5 km, turn right onto TL216/TL455 --> Continue for another 2.5 km, turn left onto TL216/TL456. Continue for 4.5 km, turn right, and after another 2.5 km, turn right onto QL39A. Continue for 2 km, turn left onto TL460, continue for 4 km, turn right at bus stop 05 towards TL219/TL459. Follow TL219/TL459 for over 8km, then continue straight through the Tien Manh Hotel onto TL219/TL39B/TL458. Continue for about 800m, turn left, and at the intersection with Dong Hoang Street, go straight for about 1.5 km, then turn right onto Dong Chau Street, and you will arrive at Dong Chau Beach (Dong Hoang commune, Tien Hai district, Thai Binh province).
